MG Rover Plans to Recruit 200
John Griffiths, Motoring Editor of the Financial Times has reported that MG Rover is recruiting 200 more engineers and design and development staff for its planned joint ventures with Chinese carmakers, whilst preparing to shed some of its car and engine production workforce.
The extra staff, which will bring MG Rover's design and engineering workforce to more than 700, are being used to accelerate the joint development of both a medium-sized car to replace its current Rover 45/MG ZS range and a smaller car to replace the group's current biggest-selling range, the Rover 25/ MG ZR small cars.
