Over 1000 cars will be on display at this year's Classic Motor Show at the NEC in Birmingham. The Show is on until November 6 and will feature classic car dealers, car clubs and motoring merchandise.
The extremely rare Maserati MC-12 Stradale (left) will have its first public viewing in the UK. With only 25 made and valued at around £600,000, the MC-12 reaches a top speed of 205mph, going from 0-62 mph in 3.8 seconds.
As well as high-speed performance cars, visitors can look at some unusual classic cars such as drag racing Morris Minors (!). The NEC is also showcasing a collection of new and used car parts, auto memorabilia, books and manuals, toys, models and rare motoring collectors’ items. Experts will be on-hand to give useful tips on the latest products and techniques to anyone wishing to restore their own vehicle.
Vehicles from films and television programmes will also be on display, including the Ford Mustang from Steve McQueen's Bullit, a selection of Jaguars and Aston Martins used in the James Bond movies, the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard and the DeLorean featured in the Back to the Future trilogy.
