Loeb Wins Record Sixth World Rally Race in Argentina

Sebastien Loeb Citroen Rally CarCitroen driver Sebastien Loeb dominated the Rally of Argentina to become the first driver to win six successive rounds of the World Rally Championship. After recovering from hitting a bull on the seventh stage, Loeb finished 26.1 seconds ahead of Finland's Marcus Gronholm and notched up his seventh victory in nine starts and his sixth straight win.

Rally GB Comeback for Colin McRae

Colin McRaeColin McRae could make his big-time comeback at the GB Rally in September. The 36-year-old former world rally champ is likely to drive either a Subaru or Ford in the Welsh-based event. Attendance figures for last year's Rally GB were down and that has been put down to the fact there are no high-ranking Brits involved at the highest level. Colin McRae is probably the most famous British driver there is and Andrew Coe, Rally GB’s commercial boss is hoping there will be a huge surge of interest if McRae was to return to Rally GB.

Ryan's Rally Result

Ryan championAfter three successive non-finishes, Ryan Champion got his Mitsubishi Ralliart Evo Challenge campaign up and running by coming just a tenth of a second from eventual winners Phillip and Simon Morrow in the Jedburgh-based Brick and Steel Border Counties Rally.

Atkinson Impressive In Mexico Rally

SubaruIn the Mexico leg of the World Rally Championship, Chris Atkinson proved his pace despite being forced to retire. The Subaru driver was coming fifth at the halfway point. Impressive as this is only his second world championship, and even set a third-fastest stage time to emphasise his raw speed. He now says he is well ahead of his goals for 2005 and is aiming for a podium place, perhaps as early as mid-year.

WDA to Sponsor Top Rally Event

The WDA Motorsport Initiative is sponsoring S4C's coverage of the World Rally Championships. The initiative is designed to maximise the economic benefits of Wales' role as host of the final stage of the championship.
